Get Acquainted with Web3

Web3 is often associated with blockchain technology, which provides a decentralized and secure way to store and transfer data and assets.

Overall, the goal of Web3 is to create a more open, transparent, and user-centric internet that empowers individuals and communities, rather than relying on centralized intermediaries and corporations.

I know that is a lot to digest and new technology can be overwhelming. To understand what this means, let’s take a look at how most people are using the web currently.

Everyone is familiar with Web 2.0 where they communicate, create, socialize and share via web 2.0 platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, Facebook, and other “centralized” platforms. Unfortunately the arrangement you have with these platforms is not exactly what you think. You are led to believe you are an independent creator of content with control over the content and communications you deposit on these platforms. In reality most users on these platforms are merely exploited for information and content they willingly give to the platform.

Now, many of these platforms do offer ways for users to monetize their content but most times the process becomes very challenging as platforms constantly change the rules, adjust their algorithms, and flat-out deny earnings over some “fine-print” issue, even after they have explicitly used your content to benefit themselves. Adding to the difficulties of doing business on a centralized platform is the fact that anyone can be canceled at anytime for any reason at their complete discretion.

You can spend months or even years building follower, contacts and relationships on these Web2 apps and then one day you wake up and your account says canceled, suspended or you’ve been hacked. Not to say these platforms don’t have usefulness and a place in your marketing and workflow, they should solely relied upon.

What if it didn’t have to be that way. What if you could own and control your piece of a platform entirely and forever? What if that ownership allowed members to leverage the platform as a community to open opportunities with other communities, businesses, brands, projects and platforms. That is what we will accomplish with ModNFT

The whole idea of using Web3 and crypto may seem daunting at first, but so did web1 and web2. This is a natural evolution of the internet as we strive to make it more user-centric and decentralized. Think of web1 as a place you could visit, web2 as a place you could rent an apartment and Web3 is where you actually OWN your own home.

Are you ready to join the next revolution in the internet experience?
